For the Attention of Law Enforcement Officers!

Candidates for training at the Azrerbaijan Republic MIA Police Academy will be selected from men and command staff employed in the law enforcement bodies and distinguished by their moral and physical qualities, as well as professional work experience. The relevant documents will be prepared by law enfrorcement bodies with due account for the needs of the service and  demand for personnel in accordance with the number of vacancies  assigned to police bodies and police units.


FULL-TIME ATTENDANCE:

men and sergeancy  will be under 30  and have professional work experience of at least 1 year,  and have already done a trainee course. Candidate’s educational documents will be prepared by his immediate commander and reported to the deputy minister in charge of human resources. The documents will be attached to the candidate’s file and submitted  to MIA HR Main Office.
 
the successful candidates, who have passed MIA Regular Commissions Board, will take examinations on history, foreign language (geography, for those without foreign language) orally, and native language and history in writing, in accordance with the applicable procedure.

PART TIME EDUCATION:



men and sergeancy will have professional work experience of at least 1 year and have already done a trainee course with secondary, secondary special and higher education.  Candidate’s educational documents will be prepared by his immediate commander and reported to the deputy minister in charge of human resources. The documents will be attached to the candidate’s file and submitted  to MIA HR Main Office.
 
Admission will be by MIA Regular Commissions Board’ opinion, as well as by examination of secondary level personnel at the Police Academy for history, foreign language (geography, for those without foreign language) orally; by examination of secondary special level sergeancy for criminal law and criminal proceeding; selection among applicants with higher level of education will be by competitive examination.

Secondary school graduates for Police Academy The Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Interior Affairs

Young persons, secondary school graduates,at least 160 sm high will be admitted to the Police Academy. 

The applicants will be physically fit, fitness tested to procedures established by a health commission and by MIA Regular Commissions Board.
 
Admission examinations will be held by the Azerbaijan Republic State Admission Committee by testing for 3-rd group of subjects (the Azerbaijani language and literature, history, geography, foreign language and a common block of subjects).Examinations will be in the Azerbaijani and Russian languages, training will be in the Azerbaijani only.

Persons admitted to the Police Academy will be provided with free, accomodation, food and uniform.

Training time is 5 years.

Graduates are qualified as lawyers and awarded lieutenancy and assigned for relevant work.

Persons having dual nationality, liabilities to other countries, religious figures, persons considered disabled or  with limited abilities by the decision of court, persons with previous conviction, and persons
in repsect of which a criminal action was unreasonably withdrawn may not apply to the Police Academy. 
The applicants will submit the following documents:

  • Application to the management of MIA (autograph);
  • questionnaire;
  • CV;
  • ID card and birth certificate(original and copy);
  • original and copy of Certificate of Secondary Education  (Diploma);
  • health certificate from a medical centre in the place of residence. (Form  286);
  • conscript personnel’s certificate;
  • letter of reference;
  • 2 off 9x12 photos, 4 off  4x6 photos (uncovered, colour and clean paper);
  • dependency certificate from the place of residence;
  • parents’ and family members’ certificate of employment (education).
  • Application and documents will be submitted from 1 to 30 April every day (except Sunday) from 10:00 to 18:00 to MIA HR Main Office.

Admission of Attendees to the ā€œFaculty of Organisation of Management in the Law Enforcement Bodiesā€ of the Police Academy

  • Candidates for the Faculty of Organisation of Management in the Law Enforcement Bodies of the Police Academy will be under 40 and will have higher legal education with 5 years professional work experience as medium and senior command staff, 3-rd grade and above senior command staff service, with sound health and training and with no effective administrative punishment.
  • Admission is on the basis of candidates’ test results and the decision of  MIA Selection Commission
  • Admission Rules have been approved by AR MIA Order #75 dated 14 February 2003.
  • Documents will be submitted to MIA HR Main Office from  1 April to 30 April every day from 10:00 to 18:00 (except Sundays).
